HUMIC ACID APPLICATION IMPROVES THE GROWTH, FLORET AND BULB INDICES OF GLADIOLUS (Gladiolus grandiflorus L.)

Humic acid is an organic having positive effect on plant growth. The presentstudy was carried out to see the of humic in combination with NPK soil for growth,flower production and vase life gladiolus flowers. Five treatments i.e. nitrogen, phosphorous, potash(NPK) (17:17:17) (10 g), 8% (1.0 mL) + (2.0 mL)+ (3.0 (10g) were studied, whereastreatment without exogenous feeding served as control. All applied at plating 3rd leaf stage through soil. arranged randomized complete block design (RCBD) triplicate. Results depicted that combinationwith produced higher sprouting, height, number leaves per plant, area,spike length, spike diameter, stem flower characteristics, life, cormels plant-1diameter weight than all other treatments. However, plants grownwithout application (only NPK) showed relatively less least growth characteristicsand poor floral bulb indices compared It could be concluded acidapplication can increase by increasing such area, fresh dryweight floret.
